This double album showcases The Clash’s raucous gig at Bond’s International Casino, in New York, on 9 June 1981, during Sandinista! Tour.
In support of their fourth studio album Sandinista!, The Clash played a series of seventeen concerts at Bond’s International Casino, in New York City, across May and June 1981. Due to their wide publicity, the concerts became an important moment in the history of the band.
The concerts captured the band on the cusp between being a cult band and their short-lived major market penetration in the USA. As always with The Clash, ticket and merchandise prices were set relatively low. Prices were $10 per ticket and $5 for matinee shows.
The Clash had a new opening act every night, including The Fall, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Dead Kennedys, Bad Brains, KRAUT, Lee “Scratch” Perry and many more. Some of the hip-hop groups that opened were either picketed or booed off the stage, which prompted Strummer to chide the audience as soon as The Clash came on afterwards.

Additional customs fees are set by countries individual governments and Coda Records has no control over, nor receives any money from these. We do not undertake to pay additional charges that may become necessary at customs, these are the responsibility of the customer.
Please be aware that if you return your order for a refund we will not refund any customs charges or shipping costs. If you refuse pay any customs charges due and therefore do not accept delivery of your order, a refund will only be processed once we have received your returned order. How long does shipping take?
All clothing items are printed on demand by our trusted partners. Production time for each item is usually 5-7 working days, and the item will then be sent to you directly via tracked delivery. The current average delivery time for items is one week, however please allow up to three weeks for delivery.
How much is shipping for merch items?
For UK orders, the cost of shipping all merch items is included in the item price. There will be no additional charge at checkout.
For other international orders, the cost of shipping will be calculated at checkout. Unfortunately, we are not currently able to offer free shipping on items ordered to addresses outside the UK.
